Jacoby Lamar Strain-Hankerson, 23, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in Harrisburg. He was born in Harrisburg, the son of Leah I. Jackson and Richone L. Hankerson. Jacoby received his formal Primary Education in the Harrisburg School District and graduated from Marietta High School in Georgia, where he was a Blue Devil point guard on the basketball team. After high school, he went into the music industry doing lyrics and rap. Jacoby was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willie Jacobs and is survived by his parents, Leah I. Jackson and Richone L. Hankerson; his brothers, Richone I. Strain-Hankerson and Logan J.J. Strain; his sister, Kayla A. Strain; his maternal grandmother, Angelia Jacobs; his paternal grandmother, Rita McCowin; his maternal aunt, Ina Y. Strain; his maternal uncles, Jerry Mangus Strain and Michael Jacobs; his paternal aunt, Sharell Dade; his niece, London L. Royal; his nephew, Rashad L. Turner and a host of other relatives and friends. Jacoby’s life will be celebrated on Monday, March 28 with a Public Viewing from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton. Private Funeral Services for the Family will be Live Streamed and will be available on Major H. Winfield Funeral Home’s YouTube page. COVID-19 Guidelines will be observed with face masks for all attendees.
