Obituary For James Easter
JAMES SHELDON EASTER was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas Easter, Sr. and the late Shirley Rucker Easter.
He received his formal education in the Harrisburg Public School District.
Jamesβ hobbies included playing football, playing cards, cooking, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. His favorite pass time was his love for watching his Dallas Cowboys. He got to go to a Dallas Cowboys game in person with his son, Tre Easter, in which he said he had the time of his life.
James Sheldon Easter, at the age of 60 years, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Pendleton; his sisters, Regina and Pamela Easter and he leaves to cherish precious memories of him, his sons, Jamal Butler, James Moffitt, Shane Ross, Carlton Easter and Tre Easter; his daughters, Shalakemia Moffitt and Shaka Easter; his sisters, Alease Roberts, Eunice Easter, Carmen Garrett and Deidra Taylor-McClain; his brothers, Thomas Easter, Jr., Clifford Dickens and Patrick Sessions; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
