Katherine Gross, 64, of Harrisburg, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in M. S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Nashville, TN, daughter of the late Katherice E. Raines and Jeffery Satterfield and retired from the PA Dept of Revenue with over 25 years of service. Katherine had a life commitment to serving God and she spent much of her time serving others. She was a charter member of Greater Harvest Ministries Church of God in Christ in Harrisburg, where she served as Church Mother, gave wisdom and instruction to the flock, was a member of the Executive Team and Chair of Finance. In her leisure, she enjoyed traveling, watching her Soap Operas, HDTV and Power. She also enjoyed entertaining and hosted many gatherings in her home. Katherine leaves a rich legacy of life lessons, humorous moments and a life of service to God and others. Her faith in Christ is now her reality. She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Jonathan Gross, Sr. with whom she shared over 50 years; their three children, Yolanda E Gross, Jonathan Gross, Jr, and Jeremy M Gross, all of Harrisburg; her pride and joy were her eight grandchildren, Whitney, Darien, Tony, Jonathan III, Dione, Yvonne, Aneia and Ayden; her three great grandchildren, Nylah, Christopher and Serenity, whom she loved dearly; her five siblings, Angilian (Ann)Williams, of Atlanta Georgia, Arthur Raines (Avis), of Lawnside, New Jersey, David Raines, of Hawaii, Georgia Slaughter, of Indianapolis Indiana and Linda Williams, of Harrisburg Pennsylvania and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and those who are of the household of faith. On Feb 13th Private Services for Katherine will be held (By Personal Invitation per Katherine’s wishes). Burial will be on Monday Feb 15th at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Services of comfort have been entrusted to the Major H Winfield Funeral Home. Live streaming of the Funeral Service will be available on the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home YouTube page on Saturday, February 13th at 12 Noon.
