Katie Mann, 81, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born into a simpler time, Katie carried with her the values that shaped her life—kindness, humility, and an unwavering commitment to family and faith. She was a woman whose presence brought comfort, whose hands were rarely still, and whose heart was always open.
Katie found her greatest joy in caring for others. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and welcome, where meals were prepared with love and shared freely. Whether through a home-cooked dish, a gentle word, or a quiet act of service, she made people feel seen, valued, and at home.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. She lived it daily—not only in church, but in the way she treated others, in her generosity, and in her steadfast belief in grace and compassion. She was a guiding light, an example of what it means to live with purpose and to love without condition.
Katie treasured traditions and brought people together, creating memories that will be carried forward for generations. She had a special way of making ordinary moments feel meaningful, and her influence reached far beyond her home, touching everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Edward Mann; her sisters, Jessica Minor and Louise Crouther; her son, Jonathan Mann and her cherished grandchildren, along with extended family and many dear friends whose lives she touched.
Though she has departed from this world, the love she gave and the life she lived remain a lasting gift. Her spirit endures in every shared meal, every act of kindness, and every moment of faith she inspired.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.
Katie's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Paxtang Cemetery.

I don't know what special cooking oil she used, but my Aunt Katie's fried chicken would make you slap somebody...twice! Perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender inside. Never a bad piece on the platter.
She's the one who taught me the proper way to eat a chicken wing. I was around 6 years old, and I felt like such a grown-up afterward. She also taught me to make hashbrowns from scratch...though I think that was really just the unintended consequence of me peeling and shaving all those potatoes for her.
Sufficed to say she could work some magic in the kitchen, and it's no coincidence that most of my fondest memories of her were at the holidays, in somebody's kitchen. That's where the best conversations happened, where songs were sung (by her...NOT me!), where dancing broke out, and where all the love was served up...with a smile.
Heaven has a new Angel, a dear friend, a proud woman of God! We sang in the same choir at church, but only one of us had the voice of an Angel! Until we meet again on the other side, I'll continue to hold your memory in my ❤! Rest well in the arms of the Lord!
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
