Maggie Mae Burnette, 97, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Manor Care, Camp Hill.
She was born in Elmwood, NC, daughter of the late Willie and Bessie (Barner) Chambers, retired from PA Dept. of Labor & Industry and a member of Capital Presbyterian Church. Maggie was the widow of Leo C. "Syke" Burnette, Sr. and leaves to celebrate her life, her son & daughter-in-law, Leo C., Jr. and Joan Burnette; her two grandchildren, Leo C. III and his wife, Katrina Burnette and Pamela Burnette; her five great grands; three great-great grands; her step-daughter, Victoria Shaffer and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her life will be celebrated on Monday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
