Margo E. Early was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was the cherished daughter of Barbara Smith Williams and Ernest P. Davis, both of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
She was a devoted mother to her two children, Arlynn Davis Chambers and Lerin Heyward, and a beloved wife to Wyatt Early, whom she married in June 1989.
Margo lived a life marked by care, resilience, and service to others. She worked as an addiction counselor for more than two years, studied electronics, served for several years as a control room analyst in downtown Harrisburg at Strawberry Square, and later worked for Penn Credit as a collection agent. In time, she embraced what she loved, which made her most important role as the domestic CEO of her home. She found joy in preparing wholesome meals for her family, tending gardens with a gifted green thumb, and helping revive plants for neighbors and friends. Margo was also a talented seamstress, a skill she learned from her mother Barbara and carried with pride.
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Margo E. Early transitioned into eternal life at her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Margo leaves to cherish memories of her, her husband, Wyatt Early; her children, Arlynn Davis Chambers and Lerin Heyward; her four grandchildren, Yadisa Brown, James Chambers, Margeaux Heyward and Simone Heyward; her five siblings, Candy Rushiddin, Valerie Spencer, Terrance Davis, Tysha Smith and William H. Williams and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Her life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 in the Chapel of The Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
