It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Julius Romain Sr., who departed this life on August 7, 2026, at the age of 62.
Mark was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Throughout his 62 years of life, Mark created a legacy that will continue to live on through the many people who knew him, loved him, laughed with him, and were fortunate enough to call him family.
Mark was the definition of cool, calm, and laid-back. He had a natural sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Whether he was joking around, pulling a prank, or catching someone off guard with one of his famous jump scares, Mark knew how to bring laughter into a room. Those who knew him will forever remember his personality, his humor, and the unforgettable presence he carried.
Mark was a man of many interests and passions. He had a deep love for motorcycles and was a proud member of a motorcycle club. He loved sports and dedicated some of his time to being a wrestling coach, sharing his knowledge, encouragement, and love of the sport with others.
He also had a special love for cars. Mark enjoyed working on them, taking care of them, and especially keeping his own car clean. Washing and cleaning his car multiple times a week wasn’t unusual for Mark—he took great pride in keeping it looking its best. If you knew Mark, you knew how serious he was about a clean car.
Music was another part of who he was. Mark loved old-school music, the kind of music that carried memories, soul, and good times.
Above all else, one of Mark’s greatest legacies is his family. As the father of more than 20 children, his life and memory will continue through generations.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, including A van Moffitt, Nicole Rivera, Marlisha Romain, Mark Romain Junior, Julius Romain, Leo Romain, Jaritza Feliciano, Matthew Romain, Italia Romain, Marcus Romain, Zhy’Aire Romain, Zhy’Kee Romain, Casanova Romain, Lanye Romain, A’Zany Romain, Leana Romain, Lena Romain, Royalty Romain, and his other beloved children, who together carry forward the family and legacy he created.
He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, including Xoey Daniels, Melo Romain, Etalo Romain, Gigi Griffin, Kyro McCants, Shylo Romain, along with many more grandchildren who will carry a piece of their grandfather with them throughout their lives.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Reba and Victor Romain and Phillip Nash; his siblings, Neil Romain Sr., Gladys Romain, and Cecilia Romain; and his beloved son, Amon Corsa Romain. Their memories remained a part of Mark throughout his life, and his family finds comfort in knowing that their names and legacies continue to be remembered alongside his.
Mark wasn’t simply a father, grandfather, son, brother, coach, friend, or fellow rider. He was a man whose presence left memories behind everywhere he went. His laughter, jokes, love for motorcycles, passion for sports, spotless cars, old-school music, and the everyday moments shared with the people he loved are memories his family will hold especially close.
Although his passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill, Mark Julius Romain Sr. leaves behind a legacy much larger than one lifetime. It lives in his children, his grandchildren, the lessons he taught, the laughter he created, the stories that will continue to be told, and the countless memories shared by those who loved him.
His family will remember the man he was, speak his name with love, laugh at the memories he left behind, and carry him with them wherever life takes them.
Mark will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever remembered.
Rest peacefully, Mark Julius Romain Sr.
