Marvin D. Brummell also known as “Tommy”, the son of Ocie and Melvin Brummell, Sr. was born in Maryland.
In 1978, the family relocated from Preston, Maryland to Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Marvin received his formal education in the Harrisburg Public School system and graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1985. In his younger days, he loved lifting weights, boxing, being on the swim team in middle school and wrestling in high school. As he grew older, he loved spending time with his family, taking trips, going to amusement parks and reading/studying his bible.
Marvin was a man of many talents, he was certified maintenance man and carpenter. He used his talents to the best of his abilities for plumbing, heating/cooling repair, HVAC, electrical and appliances.
Marvin was kind to everyone he came in contact with. A believer of God, found his people and made it his home and peace, the twelve tribe of Israel, he spread his love and knowledge so people could congregate and unite. Marvin was known as Enoch, which is a Hebrew name meaning dedicated trained and disciplined. Enoch is a boy’s name of Hebrew origin. The unique name was also born by a leading figure in the bible. Enoch was the son of Jared, the father of Methuselah and the great grandfather of Noah.
In his final days, he was overjoyed by the growth of his children and their personal accomplishments. Always reminded them of how much he loved them all. He would always say “Did you get the ding??? Check your Cash App” and would share his knowledge of IUIC.
Marvin D. Brummell, a loving father, protector, provider, mentor, hardworking and well respected member of his community transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life on April 2, 2023 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is welcomed and joined by his parents and some of his siblings in the afterlife.
He is greatly missed and loved by his children who have gained some of his talents. Marvin Meredith, is a great father, businessman and entrepreneur. Tyshika Eaton-Brummell is a mother, works in the medical field, is great with her hands and likes to put together, build and to read; Moses Brummell is very athletic from track to basketball with many other accomplishments; Ezekiel Brummell has talents in boxing and Josh Myers is a great father and has the ability to transform businesses to be greater than when he started Each of his children make positive bells ring and leave a great impression in this lifetime. Marvin was so proud of his children which he always expressed. He is also survived by six siblings, nieces, nephews and six grandchildren.
Marvin's life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 15, 2023 with a viewing and visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home and burial in Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg, Maryland.
