Mary H. Burwell, 69, of N. 5th St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, July 20, 2019 in the peace and love of her home.

She was born in Henderson, NC, daughter of the late Albert and Amelia (Faines) Jefferson, retired from the Harrisburg School District and in her leisure, she loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing video games. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Keith O'Brian Burwell, Sr. and her sister, Demetria Jefferson, she leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Frederick Burwell, Jr. her daughter, Patricia Burwell; her son, Frederick Burwell (Miriam), all of Harrisburg; her three grandchildren; her two great-grands; her brothers, Albert Jefferson (Betty) of Kittrell, NC; William Jefferson (Blondie), Robert B., Larry and James Jefferson; her sisters, Ruby Venable (Roy Gene), Alma Peace, Sarah L., Della and Lucy Jefferson, all of Henderson, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, other family members and friends. Mary's life will be celebrated beginning on Wednesday, July 24 with a viewing from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton and continuing on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with a Graveside Service and burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
