Melanie Shaun Jones was born in Harrisburg, PA to the late Susan Cannon Jones and Lewis White. Her formative years were spent in Bronx, NY and she later moved to Philadelphia, PA, where she spent her adult life.
She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx and attended the University of Bridgeport. Her career included working at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Medical Records department and serving as a Home Health Aide.
Melanie is survived by her sister, Robyn R. Jones (Adrian J. Moody); her nephews, Nicholas W.C. Moody and Dylan A.J. Moody (Celina); her aunt, Laura Cannon Williams and her cousin, Danielle A. Williams. She leaves to mourn her passing, extended family, friends and colleagues.
Melanie found her soulmate and life partner in Edward Brown, with whom she shared a deep and loving bond.
Melanie was known for her charisma inner and outer beauty. She had an extraordinary ability to outsmart most everyone she knew. Her quick wit often left us all bent over in laughter, as she had a unique and comedic perspective on almost every person or situation.
Her loyalty, kindness, willingness to do whatever she could for others and appreciation of any gesture made towards her, bring a heartfelt smile as we remember her.
The memory of her remains fresh and will stay with us forever.
Robin, My sincere sympathy and prayers to you and your family. My memories of both you and Melanie are heartwarming and full of smiles. Please feel free to contact me. You are in my prayers, Shelley Baker
