Dr. Michael José Juan Brady
February 19, 1957 – August 11, 2025.
Dr. Michael José Juan Brady, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on August 11, 2025.
Born on February 19, 1957, Michael was the beloved son of the late Reginald Brady and Fern Glapion-Brady. A proud resident of New Orleans, he graduated from St. Augustine High School, earned his Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University, and went on to receive his Doctorate from the University of Tennessee.
Michael was a devoted husband to Deborah Brady, and a loving father to his two cherished daughters: Thais Ridgeway of New York, NY, and Indira Ridgeway of Harrisburg, PA. He took great pride in their accomplishments and found joy in their presence. He is also survived by a plethora of other loving relatives and friends.
An avid lover of the ocean, Michael was a PADI-certified diver who found peace and adventure underwater. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and most of all, spending meaningful time with his family. A man of strong faith, he was God-fearing and deeply committed to his spiritual life, attending church and studying the word of God.
Michael was a U.S. Army veteran, a respected university professor, and a retiree from Devlin Psychological Services, where he provided specialized support to police officers, hospitals, politicians, corporate leaders, and families. He also dedicated his time to supporting at-risk youth at the South Mountain Youth Center through his work with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Michael’s life was a testament to faith, family, education, and quiet strength. He valued a private lifestyle, cherishing time spent with family and close friends. His legacy will live on through those who knew and loved him.
Michael’s life will be celebrated on August 23, 2025, at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2400 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by a service beginning at 1:00 PM.
May you rest in peace with your Heavenly Father and be reunited with your Mommie. To Deb and girls, may you remember Mike daily and keep his memory alive in your hearts. I will remember all the crazy things we did as kids at Mau-Mau and Pau-Pau's many years ago. Aunt Fern has called you home, as she used to from the back door, one last time. In the end, only our memories are left to cherish and give thanks for, as life and time passes. Prayers and heartfelt condolences to you guys. Love, Gina
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
