Reverend Donald E. Brantley, Sr. transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday May 24, 2022 in the peace and love of his home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania surrounded by his family. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late James Lee and the late Hattie Brantley. Donald received his formal education in the Harrisburg School District and graduated from the former William Penn Senior High School. Having a desire to further his education, he attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and received his Associates Degree. After graduating from college, he served in the United States Navy through the ROTC program. He served his country faithfully until he was honorably discharged and returned to his hometown. Donald became a member of “The Emperors”, a professional singing group, which traveled the Eastern seaboard from 1964 until 1967. In March 2022, Don and his fellow Emperors were inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame. He began his working career as a baker for the former Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg and Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. During his working career, he was also employed by D&H Distributors where he worked as a Buyer and Salesman. Donald’s final employment was at AMP Incorporated as an Industrial Engineer Technician, Personnel Representative, Safety and Health Technician and Plastic Molding Supervisor. While employed at AMP, he completed a two-year course in Industrial Supervision and Management, where he received his Diploma in Human Relations. After 29 years of service at AMP Incorporated, he retired in 1999. Donald was ordained as a Deacon in 1982 by Bishop Charles H. Foggie, as an Elder 1983 by Bishop Clinton J.
