Robert W. Miller, affectionately known as Skip, was born in Charlotte North Carolina to the late Elley Miller and Annie Lee Myers.
In the early 1940’s Skip relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where he attended Harrisburg City Schools and lived the majority of his adult life.
Skip was a proud member of the Army reserves prior to beginning his nearly 50-year career as an over the road truck driver. During his career Skip covered over a million miles on the road and reached 49 of the 50 states.
Following his retirement from truck driving, Skip’s love of driving took on a new form when he began driving school bus for Central Dauphin School District. During this venture he gained the adoration of students and parents alike. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races, playing spades, sitting on the porch on sunny days, and sharing stories with his loved ones.
Above all his adventures over the road Skip’s family is what cherished most.
In 1970, Skip was united in holy matrimony with Geraldine Wilkerson. Filling his life with an abundance of love from both his side and hers.
