Ronald L. "Ron" Watson, 67, of Harrisburg, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in Alex Grass Medical.
He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Rudolph, Sr. and Selena B. (Williams) Watson, a 1972 graduate of Harrisburg High and retired from PA Dept. of General Services, having worked in the PA Senate and PA House of Representatives.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two of his sisters and a brother-in-law, Sharon Watson and Vera and Julian "Gibby" Pettis. Ron leaves to celebrate his life; his three loving children, LaCreena Hickerson, Dana Marshall (Kara) and Azia Young; his siblings, Rudolph Watson, Jr. (Carita), Sheila Berry, Christine Watson (fiancé, James Fritz, Esq.), Wanda Watson, Reverend Avis Corbin and Kenneth Watson (Wanda); his uncles, Mark "Tony" and Richard W. Davenport; his aunt, Collette Davenport; his six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of Living Water Community Church, 206 Oakleigh Ave., with viewing 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
