ROSA LEE LEWIS, daughter of the late Mae Bell Lewis and the late Jim Wilcox, was born in Oscilla, Georiga.
She attended school in Queensland, Georgia and graduated from Queensland High School. After graduating, she attended Fort Valley State University. She later met and married Thomas Lee Lewis.
Rosa loved to work two jobs most of her life. She worked at Bill Chicken Shack for 10 years and Hamilton Grill for 22 years. She loved cooking and eating.
Having accepted the Lord as her personal Savior, she was a member of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Rosa L. Lewis, at the age of 75 years, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Isaiah Wilcox, Sr., Thomas Wilcox, Richard Wilcox and Roosevelt Wilcox; three sisters, Bernice Wilcox, Beatrice Bland and Emma L. McKenzie.
She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish precious memories of her, her four children, Gregory E. Wilcox, Thomas Lewis, Tim Lewis and Kamilah Lewis; her 13 grandchildren; her 12 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosa's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in the Sanctuary of her church, The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 212 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Mount Mountaintop Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Queensland, Georgia.
Grandma you will forever be in my heart and you mean so much to me thank you for always praying for me answering the phone and keeping me laughing I'm going to miss checking up on you everyday and making sure you ate I love you so much you are my world it hurts me everyday that I had to be released from prison to expect to see you and getting ready to see you for you to jus be up and gone but I know you are in a better place and you are watching over me and I will always keep our memories in my heart I love you rip gran Rosa till we meet again see you later alligator and as you would say after me after while crocodile
