Obituary for Ruth Summerford
Ruth M. Summerford, 101, of N. 15th St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Carolyn's House.
She was born in Georgia, daughter of the late William and Lottie (Burnham) Summerford, retired from the U. S. Postal Service in New York City and a member of The Concord Baptist Church of Christ in Brooklyn, NY.
Ruth leaves to celebrate her life, her sisters, Naomi Bard and Betty Summerford; several nieces, and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. in William Howard Day Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made in her memory to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown RD, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
