Ta’Mar C. Shaw, son of Marvella Goins and Tavon Shaw, Sr., was born in Harrisburg, PA.
Ta’Mar was educated in the Steelton Highspire School District. He played football for the Swatara Tigers. He also attended Pheonix High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was employed in Harrisburg with UPS and attended Rivers of Restoration Ministries.
Ta’Mar was a fun-loving young man. In his leisure time he enjoyed going out to eat, joking around, football, basketball and playing video games with his younger brothers and friends. He loved spending time with his loved ones.
On Monday, April 6, 2026 at eighteen years of age, Ta’Mar departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and grandfather, Nora and Robert Hughes; his paternal grandmother, Janice Patterson and grandfather, Robert Shaw.
He leaves to cherish precious memories of him, his mother, Marvella Goins of Lawrenceville, Georgia; father, Tavon Shaw, Sr.; stepfather, Johnaton Gamble of Harrisburg, PA; grandmother, Lillian Beverly; grandfather, Walter Goins; his brothers, Tavon Shaw, Jr., Jacoby Gamble, Jamier Gamble; his sister, Marley Hughes; also brothers, Tae’Vion Crumble Shaw, Torri Shaw and Tre’Vion Shaw; his sisters, Aaliyah Edwards and Ava Shaw; his aunts, Cheryl Hughes, Christine Hughes, Tara Hughes, Shibela Goins and Stacy Hills; uncles, Waltize Hughes, Connel Hughes {Farrah), Jerome Hughes and Tyrone Fleming; his god-mother, Shalinda Macon; god-brothers, Demone Maxwell, Jr. and Damere Maxwell; god-sisters, Naje’, Mone’ and Azure’ and best friend, Caleb Duncan. He is also survived by a host of cousins, friends, great aunts and uncles, who hold him in their hearts.
His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2026 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
