Tracy A. Ellis, 58, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Theodore and Hazel (Berry) Ellis, a graduate of the former John Harris High School and Cheyney State University, an employee of TW Ponessa Associates Counseling Services, a member of Bethany A. M. E. Church and a Sports Referee at the Harrisburg Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Tracy/Coach Tracy positively impacted tens of thousands of children in the Harrisburg Community for the past 30 years. He was relentessly engaged in the well-being of our youth whether coaching from the diamond, baseline of the end zone, to officiating from those same vantage points. He leaves to celebrate his life; his daughters, LaTia Manigault and Quonterra Cabean and a host of other relatives and friends. Tracy’s life will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Friday, February 12 in the Sanctuary of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Apostolic Resource Center at 1201 N. 17th St., Harrisburg with viewing from 10:00 a.m. until Noon and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. Covid 19 guidelines will be observed with masks and six foot Social Distancing for all attendees. Arrangements entrusted to the Ministry of Comfort of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton.
