“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. 2nd Timothy Chapter 4; Verse 7
Trina Marie Waters was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was one of three children born to the late Elizabeth L. Jenkins and was the daughter of Thomas W. Brown.
She received her formal education in the Harrisburg School District. She attended the John Harris Campus of Harrisburg High School and graduated with the class of 1986. Having a desire to further her education, Trina attended the Medical Academy of Arts and Business where she obtained a Certificate in Medical Assistance. Still thirsting for more knowledge, she continued her education at the Harrisburg Area Community College and obtained an Associate Degree in Human Services.
In her early years, Trina accepted the Lord as her Personal Savior and was baptized into the fellowship of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Roosevelt Green where she sang with the Church’s Mass Choir and served on the Usher Board. She later continued worship at the former Millennium Church of God in Christ and Kingdom Embassy.
Trina’s professional career included employment at the United States Postal Service, The Program and Blue Mountain Home Healthcare. In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She will be missed for her nurturing spirit and kind heart.
Trina was not only preceded in death by her mother, but also by her son, Dwayne Maurice Waters; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Mildred Waters and paternal grandparents, Thomas Brown, Sr. and Willamae Williams. She leaves to cherish memories of her; her children, Michaela Waters (Kevin), Michella Palmer (Devin), Jerray Waters and Tyla Waters (Franklin); her grandchildren, Ka’Onni Waters-Black, Harper Elizabeth Palmer, Nyla Adams and Thyrii Chisholm-Waters; her brother, Trendell Waters (Wanda); her sister, Tyla Waters (John) and a host of other relatives and friends.
