XAVIER ROYCE LOPEZ, the son of Charlyse V. Pittman was born on Friday, December 18, 2015 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
The meaning of the name Xavier is translated as "new house" or "bright".
Xavier attended Linglestown Elementary School from first grade under Mrs. McDonald and second grade under Mrs. Lightner. He was loved by his teachers and classmates. He was a bright child in school and at home.
He loved music. He especially enjoyed when his great-grandmother, "MeMe" and his special aunt, Helen Jackson would sing to him. You could find him smiling and laughing when he heard the songs!
Xavier enjoyed going to the beach with his mother and his co-father Nathaniel Ushery, Jr. who took on the responsibilities of parenting and helping with his care.
His favorite pastime activity was watching Nickelodeon TV and his favorite show was Paw Patrol. He loved when someone read books to him and enjoyed when he was being entertained by his younger brother Caiden.
At a very early age, Xavier was diagnosed with developmental disabilities that required extensive medical care and therapy.
During the early morning on Wednesday, July 30, Xavier peacefully transitioned into eternal life at the tender age of 9 years old. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Xavier leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving mother Charlyse Pittman, co-father, Nathaniel Ushery, his brother, Caiden Pittman, maternal grandparents Charles and Valerie Pittman, maternal grandmother, Vinona Daniels, his uncle Nathan Lee Daniels (Mechanicsburg), Great Aunts Vicki Daniels (Harrisburg), Nancee Daniels (Springfield MO), his Godmother, Lisa Arp-Fulton (Harrisburg), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and his furry pets Kobe an Enza.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Children's Hospital Philadelphia (CHOP) Leukodystrophy Center and Complex Care Team, for all of their support and care during the extensive visits and treatments.
Xavier's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
