Ethel Gates Perdue was born to the late Willie and Myrtis Gates on February 12, 1936. She married the late Walter Lee Perdue. Ethel attended school in the Meriwether County School System. She retired from Nabisco and loved to watch soap operas. She joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age, where she served faithfully until she became ill. One sister preceded her in death, Willie Florence Jones (Sue). She leaves behind her son, Bernard Gates, sister, Elzie Jackson-Brown (Ducksie), and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Uncle Larry, thanks for being a great uncle. You will be truly missed. I will never forget you. I love you with all my heart and soul. Rest well. Love your niece, Sherry
This is my Auntie, I am grateful for the opportunity to have a chance to bond with you and share special moments together. I love you and will miss you dearly. Our hearts hurt now Nd and a hole has been placed where you should be. But your at rest sharing a room with my members gone before you.
