Margaret Ann Dean Veasley of Osceola, Arkansas was born October 25, 1947 in Blytheville, Arkansas to John and Mary Cooper Dean. Margaret was a graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School class of 1967. She attended Cotton Boll Vo-Tech and was a member of Promiseland Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Johnny Moore. She was one of the first African Americans employed by AGRICO in Blytheville, Arkansas.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Dean, three sisters, Bertha Brown, Hazel Stevenson and Naomi Savage. On Thursday November 18, 2021, Margaret passed away at Harris Health Care at the age of 74.

Margaret leaves to forever cherish her memories her husband James Edward “Ed” Veasley of Osceola, Arkansas; her son James Edward Veasley II of Osceola, Arkansas; her daughter Lenisha Veasley of Osceola, Arkansas; four bonus sons, James (Ryuko) Mahan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Emill (Latrena) Scales of Osceola, Arkansas; Darrell (Vivian) Street of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Roger ( Jeanette) Simmons of Elgin, Illinois; two bonus daughters Shanta Seals of Osceola, Arkansas and Lawanda (Gary) Pittes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, John Dean of Grover, North Carolina; Esau (Lavern) Dean of Cleveland, Ohio; and Stanley ( Barbara) Dean of Blytheville, Arkansas; four sisters, Johnnie Dean of Cleveland, Ohio; Ruth Carter of Chicago, Illinois; Dorothy King of St. Louis, Missouri; and Beulah Dean of Cleveland, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 9:00 am until services begin at 11:00 am at Promiseland Church of God in Christ, 2141 South Hwy 61, Osceola, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am at Promiseland Church of God in Christ. Superintendent Johnny Moore is the eulogist with burial to follow in Whiteside Gardens Cemetery in Osceola.
