Obituary
Mr. Donald W. Ruffin “Don” was born on March 17, 1950, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Roosevelt Ruffin, Sr. and Willie Mae Richardson Ruffin. As a child, Don united with Truelight Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Davenport. At Truelight, he was active in Sunday School, BTU, Vacation Bible and was an usher. Later, Don joined Mt. Moriah Baptist where he continued his Christian service as a deacon, usher, and the hospitality committee, helping to cooking breakfast for his church family. He was a 1968 graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School. In March of 1970 Don enlisted in the United States Army, where he served with distinction and honor. Don retired from Terra Chemical Company following many years of service. He was a member of the Harrisonites, Inc. and served as the Chaplin for the “Graveyard Kids” and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Willie Mae Ruffin, his brothers, Roosevelt Ruffin, Jr., Gene Ruffin, John Ruffin, Charles Ruffin and Napoleon Ruffin, his sisters, Charlestine Britman, Rosemary Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris Ruffin of the home, three sons, Jamie C. Ruffin, Sr. of Savannah, Georgia; Bishop Corey B. (Tera) Ruffin of Los Angelas, California; and Gregory (Dr. Courtney) Ruffin of Montgomery, Alabama; brothers, Fred (Lyntia) Ruffin, Richard Ruffin, and Rickie (Rebecca) Ruffin all of Toledo, Ohio; and Anthony Ruffin of Colorado; sisters, Margaret Hill of Kansas City, Missouri; Margaret Williams of Toledo, Ohio, and Vangela Walker of Columbus, Ohio; 30 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 920 South Lake Street, Blytheville, Arkansas from 11:00 am until services begin at 1:00 pm.
Celebration of Life Services will take place on Monday, January 19,2026 at 1:00 pm. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Reverend Doctor Bobby Patterson delivering deliver the eulogy.

This is truly a hard pill to swallow. This is my big brother who always calls to check on me. I live in Ohio & he would say, " Since I can't see you, I just wanted to hear your voice. Condolences to my sister-in-law and my nephews, we have truly lost a great man. So I can say, 'See you when I get there, brother. Save a seat for me.'

TO DORIS AND THE FAMILY. Weep not for he's not dead he has taken his place in Gods bouquet . God will wipe away all tears. Carry his memories in your heart. Don was my classmate , He always had a smile. When I saw him at our 55th Reunion it was lIKE old time. We were not only classmates but we were family. You will be missed my brother.
