Richard was 7 years older than me. At the age of 17 he wanted to join the Military, mama thought he was too young, but Halbert convinced her he would be okay so she agreed. He came home on leave and told us he was going to make a pie, an apple pie, I said we don't have any apples. He pulled out a box of ritz crackers. I said there is no way this is gonna taste like an apple pie. But guess what it did, and was actually quite good! Later in life for whatever reason I started calling him turkey, and he called me turkey. So he became Big Turkey, and I became Little Turkey. I am so grateful that I had my brother in my life, for all of my life. He was a great big brother that I love and will miss everyday!!! Murline AKA Little Turkey
Praying you all find comfort in the beautiful memories of Mr. Rich. Sending love and prayers. Myrtis Randolph
