Cynthia Mullins Taylor was born June 6,1959 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of Moses Mullins, Sr. and Margaret Fowler Mullins. Cynthia attended Blytheville High School and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Odale Jones. Cynthia was employed as a CNA at Baptist Memorial Hospital, that’s now Great River Medical Center. In 1995 Cynthia married Charles Taylor.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Margaret Mullins, her husband, Charles Taylor, her brother, Moses Mullins, Jr., her sister, Brenda Mullins, and a grandson, Ke’Vion Hill-Jones. Cynthia transitioned on Sunday, March 31, 2025, at Methodist Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 65.
Cynthia is survived by three sons, Douglas Jones, Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; Deginald (Shimica) Jones of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Charles Mullins of Blytheville, Arkansas; two daughters, Regina Jones (Jeffrey Northern) of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Charlotte Junearick of Memphis, Tennessee; two brothers, Willie C. Thompson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Stanley Mullins of Blytheville, Arkansas; four sisters, Agnes Jackson of Kansas City, Missouri; Darlene (Randy) Robinson of Blytheville, Arkansas; Debbie (Taylor) Sanders of Blytheville, Arkansas and Linda Stewart also of Blytheville, Arkansas, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 12:00 noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Drive, Blytheville, Arkansas where Reverend Odale Jones is the pastor.
The Celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 1:00 pm. Reverend Jones will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
