Mildred Daniels Evans was born August 8, 1941, in Homer, Louisiana to Mae Dorothy Daniels and Woodrow Wilson Daniels. Mildred was a past employee of Bush Canning, where she worked for many years. She loved spending time with family and watching wrestling.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mae Dorothy Daniels, her father, Woodrow Wilson Daniels, her husband, Fred Evans, her son, Darin Holmes, a daughter, Roberta Williams, two brothers, Carl Scott, and Melvin Daniels, five sisters, Dorothy Stringer, Donna Ruffin, Ella Mae Jones, Linda Hampton and Barbara Daniels, two grandsons, Lloyd Anderson and Andre Harvey, and a granddaughter, Crystal Daniels. Mildred passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in her home at the age of 83.
Those left to cherish precious memories are two sons, Bennie Daniels of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Anthony Ray Daniels of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five daughters, Diane Williams of Blytheville, Arkansas, Debra Daniels of Blytheville, Arkansas, Nanette (Randy) Echols of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Pamela Bradley of Blytheville, Arkansas and Paula ( Malcolm) Nixon of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, Gene Wilson Daniels and Lonnie Scott both of Blytheville, Arkansas; five sisters, Lucille Golden, Bonnie Keyes, and Mary Scott all of Blytheville, Arkansas. Martha Scott of Orlando, Florida; and Carla Kidd of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a special niece, Evette Bates, 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 12:00 noon at New St. Paul Baptist Church, 515 East Sawyer Street, Blytheville, Arkansas where Clark Phillips is pastor. Pastor Phillips will deliver the eulogy with interment in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
