Mrs. Ruby Jean Harris Jackson of Osceola, Arkansas, was born on November 3, 1947, in Grider, Arkansas, to Willie and Neely Mae Brown Harris. A proud graduate of Rosenwald High School, Class of 1967, she worked for American Greetings. Ruby was deeply devoted to her family, found joy in cooking, and cherished every moment spent with her grandsons. She also enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. She will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and the kindness she shared with others.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her husband, Jimmy Jackson. On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Ruby quietly entered eternal rest at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She leaves to forever cherish precious memories two daughters, Lena Jackson of Osceola, Arkansas and Denice Jackson also of Osceola, Arkansas; one brother, Perry Lee Harris of Osceola, Arkansas; three sisters, Diane Douglas of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mary Jo Johnson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Dorothy (Tommy) Watkins of Blytheville, Arkansas, three grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13,2026 from 12:00 noon until services at 1:00 at Promiseland Church of God in Christ, 2141 South US Highway 61, Osceola, Arkansas where Elder Johnny Moore is the pastor.
Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm at the church. Reverend Brian Whitted will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow in Whiteside Gardens.
