Linda and I catered together for many years. She was always assigned the soul food menu because she could do some old school soul food cooking. Wherever we would go that had a commercial gas stove, it was Linda who lit the oven. The rest of us were afraid. There was always laughter and playing around but when it came to the business of setting up she had that intent serious look on her face. I never ate green beans until I had hers. I will miss those loaves of sour dough bread she makes. We both were sad when I moved to Texas. When I would come home she would have a pot of greens waiting. Once I was given a beef tongue. I didn't know what to do with it. I gave it to Linda and she cooked it . She then peeled the top skin off and tossed it. She made me taste it and it taste like roast. I cry for you everyday. I love you and I miss you already. Love Emma Baker
