Lucial Williams loving known to her family and friends as “Sweet” was born January 14, 1952, in Dell, Arkansas, the daughter of David Lee Williams, Sr. and Josiephine Hackett Williams. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Howard Smith, III. “Sweet” was a graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School Class of 1969. Moving to Detroit, Michigan as a young woman, she was employed by Ford Motor Company.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, “Sweet” transitioned from labor to reward at St. Fransis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her parents David Lee and Josiephine Hackett Williams, four brothers, David Lee Williams, Jr., Alvie Williams, Donnell Williams, and Joel Williams and one sister, Louise “Tina” Heard.
Her memory will be cherished by those she leaves behind, including her two sons, Partick R. Williams and Larry S. Williams, Jr., both of Detroit, Michigan; her brothers, James Earl Williams of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Reverend Johnny L. Williams of Blytheville, Arkansas; her sisters, Annie Bea (Jeffrey) Dargan and Sandra F. Whitfield, both of Blytheville; as well as her two grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her warmth and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12:00 noon until services start at 1:00 pm at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 451 Poplar Street, Osceola, Arkansas where Reverend Johnny L. Williams is the pastor.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm at Grace Temple Baptist Church. Reverend Howard Smith, III will deliver the eulogy, with interment to follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
