United States Army Master Sergeant (Ret.) Lula Ella Wease Hill departed this life on July 22, 2025, at her home in Osceola, AR, surrounded by her loving family and dearest friends. Born on August 2, 1956, in Osceola, Arkansas, the daughter of R J Hill and Geneva Ford Hill, Lula was a member of First Baptist Church Frenchman’s Bayou, a graduate of Osceola High School, and a retired Master Sergeant for the United States Army.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gerard Gulledge and Antonio Hill; one brother, Donald Hill; and one sister, Sharon Hill.
Left to cherish her fondest memories are two brothers, James Hill of Cordova, Tennessee; and Lorenza (Frantrise) Hill of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Clotis (Sterling) Wafford of Glenn Heights, Texas and Vivian Hill of Osceola, Arkansas; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Frenchman’s Bayou, 7301 South Hwy 61, Joiner, Arkansas, where Reverend Jimmy Johnson is the pastor.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. immediately following the visitation. Ms. Vivian R. Hill will deliver the eulogy, on-site repast to follow. Then, interment in Whiteside Cemetery of Osceola, Arkansas.

My Condolences to the Hill family, Lula was such a great person and Battle. Mary, Lula and Dorothea was the 3 sisters hood in the US Army. We keep our sister hood and friendship over the years. I would call her and we pickup where we left off never skipping a beat. This new really hit hard because Lula and I would talk about the 3 of us getting together again. Lula you wings was ready but our heart wasn't. Until we meet again my battle my sister take your rest and we will meet up in the Army of the Lord.
