Obituary For Bertrand Sims
SIMS, Mr. Bertrand, a resident of Springfield, MA, passed October 20, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 12:00 Noon in the McKenzie's Funeral Home Chapel, Tuskegee, AL. Interment will follow in the Cooper Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Tuskegee, AL, McKenzie's Funeral Home Staff, directing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Sims will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
The family of Mr. Bertrand Sims appreciates the support that they have received during their time of bereavement from so many people who knew and loved him. Please keep the Sims Family in your thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family. Bert and I have known each other since 2002 and he meant a lot to me. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Craig and family- so sorry for your loss. Whether we were stuck working double shifts or riding out on our bikes he had a quick-whitted sense of humor that always seem to put you at ease. He was a great co-worker, friend and brother. RIP O.D.B.
I knew Bert & Craig in their days of working at Osborn-C.I. As Correctional Officers. Both were fine young men who did their jobs admirably. I was shocked to hear of Bert's passing, as I had retired long before he & Craig and had lost contact. His passing is hitting his Correctional family very hard as they express daily in our facebook group their condolences. Rest Easy Bert...and Craig & the Sims family I send my condolences.
