As I reflect over the many decades of life I shared with Dr. Robinson, it is difficult to be concise with the many attributes she exhibited. I had the pleasure of meeting her as a professor at NC Central University, Durham, NC. She served as my advisor as I prepared my exit from the graduate program.
My relationship with her remained strong. She shared many experiences with me, my mountains and valleys and had a continuing non-wavering love. She had a diverse spirit. Although she was as sweet and gentle as a dove, she had the strength and conviction of an eagle and did not mind letting you see either side when needed. The toughness was expressed to strengthen me or to show her love.
She loved her family and often shared the many highlights of your lives. She was amazingly proud of each one of you. As you prepare to say goodbye from this realm, be thankful you were gifted such a remarkable mother, grandmother, mother-in-love, sister and friend. We will treasure the memories.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Robinson. I meet her while I was attending NCCU. She was an amazing person but she was also that professor who looked out for her students and made sure we were staying in the right path to be successful. I pray that the family will be able to find peace as they prepare to celebrate her wonderful life and that she is now in a better place. Peace and Blessings to all of you. Valarie, Glenda and Terease thank you for sharing your mom. Dr.Robinson was a very caring and thoughtful professor. I'm glad our paths crossed at NCCU. Dr. Robinson treated me as one of her daughters. I would call her mom and we will talk and laugh on the phone like two little kids. Her smile is contagious. She will be truly missed. 🩵
