Howard Brooks McDonald, 84, of Hardaway, AL, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026 at Baptist Medical Center South, Montgomery, AL with his devoted wife Dorothy by his side. He was a loving and sacrificial husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Eastern Meadows Church of Christ, Montgomery, AL. Interment will follow in the Alabama Heritage Cemetery, Montgomery, AL, McKenzie's Funeral Home Staff, directing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. McDonald will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
