Carl Albert McKinney, 75, passed on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster, SC. He was the son of the late James P. McKinney and Virginia F. McKinney. Many people called him Bob.
Bob accepted Christ at an early age and was an active and dedicated member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a Trustee for many years until his health declined. He enjoyed attending church services. Bob loved his church and church family.
He was educated in the Lancaster County School System. Bob was an United States Army Veteran and served two years.
Bob embraced life with his kind grateful, humble spirit. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Bob enjoyed cooking delicious meals and watching Westerns. His greatest passion was spending time with his family especially his granddaughter Calisse McKinney.
Bob memories will last forever in the hearts of his wife, Ellaree C. McKinney of the home; his son, Carl (Crystal) McKinney of Marshville, NC; two granddaughters, Calisse McKinney of Marshville, NC and Taylor (Seth) Springs of Waterford, Michigan; three great grands; one brother, John (Lydia) McKinney of Lancaster, SC; one sister, Annie (Frank) of Waxhaw, NC; four sisters-in-law, Maggie (Thomas) Hood and Shirley (Paul) Bolton of Charlotte, NC, Estherlean Coffey and Alice Hood of Lancaster, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
Bob was preceded in death by a brother Ellison (Nettie) McKinney; sisters, Dezzie (Edward) Clyburn, Brenda (Clifton) Funderburk and Bertha Clyburn; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church by Reverend Ricky Haile.
Viewing will be 1-5 pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at McMullen Funeral Home.
