Clifton Funderburk, 73, died Friday, February 23, 2024.
He was the son of the late Herbert and Margie Davis Funderburk.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Flint Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Trustee board.
Pete was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed going to drag car races, watching basketball and being an assistant coach for his grandkids sport teams.
His greatest passion was spending time with his family whom he loved dearly. He always “love a good cold Pepsi.” He will be greatly missed by all who knew and love him.
Mr. “Pete” Funderburk was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Funderburk, a son, Clifton “Champ” Funderburk and one brother, Jimmy Funderburk.
His memories are everlasting in the hearts of his devoted daughter Brenda (Bennie) Hayden of Lancaster, SC; Two grandchildren, Justin (Katie) Hayden of Hartsville, SC and Jada Hayden of Lancaster, SC; one great granddaughter, Riley Hayden; Two brothers, Billy (Mary) Funderburk of Marshville, NC and Aaron (Agnes) Funderburk of Indian Trail, NC; Three sisters, Carolyn Funderburk and Priscilla Funderburk both of Pageland, SC and Katie (Charles) Gladden of Great Falls, SC; Two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:30, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Flint Ridge Missionary Baptist Church by the Reverend Dr. Eddie McIlwain with burial in Flint Ridge Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pageland, SC.
Viewing is 1-5pm, Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at McMullen Funeral Home.
