Obituary For Gene A. (Good News) Harris
Gene A. (Good News) Harris passed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was the son of the late Willie and Peirene Tate Harris.
Gene retired from L & C Railroad. He was a Denver Bronco fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Annie Houston (Jeffrey) of Charlotte and Jean Harris of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Terry, Wayne, John and Tay'Reekio; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; four brothers, TJ Harris (Mary). John L. Harris (Wanda), Sammie Harris (Katrina) and Jerome Harris all of Lancaster and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Peirene Tate Harris; a daughter Gloria Stover; two brothers, Eric Harris and Willie Harris and three sisters, Rosa Lee, Eva Mae and Bernice.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home.
