Obituary For Willie Thomas Morrison

Willie Morrison was born on January 19, 1946 in Lancaster County South Carolina to the late Rev. Robert and Esterlene Morrison, Sr. On Saturday, August 1st, 2026, Willie exchanged this earthly life for heaven's reward.

Willie graduated from Barr Street high school in 1964. Once he graduated, he went into the Navy and served for 4 years. After service in the Navy Willie worked at several places throughout the years with one of them being Textile Waste for many years.

While working at Textile Waste a lovely lady caught his eye. He met the love of his live Vestrula Morrison and the two married and were married for 46 amazing years before she departed him in death. To this union one child was born, Darcy Morrison.

Willie, affectionately known as Tom, was a faithful member of Steele Hill AME Zion Church and was saved at a young age. Tom served on the Steward board, Men's Choir, Lay Council and the usher board. Tom enjoying spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren “Tay Boy" and ” “Baby Girl”. He will truly be missed by all his family and friends.

Tom joins his brothers Sam Morrison & Caleb Morrison at heaven's gates and leaves to cherish his son, Darcy Morrison (Natasha) and two grandchildren, Devonta Morrison and Tatyana Morrison of the home, four brothers, Robert Morrison Jr, Mozell Morrison (Gloria), Ray Morrison (Sandra) all of Lancaster, SC, Lester Morrison (Margretta) of Mineral Springs, NC, three sisters, Mae Barber, Magaret McIlwain (Clarence), & Queenetta Adams (Jerry), all of Lancaster, SC. Two aunts, Julia Morrison of Philadelphia, PA and Frances Morrison of Lancaster, SC, four sisters-in-law, Nadine Morrison, Shirley Simpson, Maggie Burris, Lillie Burris, many nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 7th at 12noon at Steele Hill AME Zion Church. The body will lie in state during quiet hour, 11am-12noon.

Viewing will be 1-5 pm Thursday, August 6th at McMullen Funeral Home.
