Zevia Hood Cherry, 88 died peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was married to the late Nathaniel Cherry. She was the daughter of the late Katie Hood McIlwain and Marshall Blake.
Survivors include one son, Harold E. Hood Lancaster and two daughters, Carolyn H. McMullen (William) and Melinda Cherry both of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, William Henry Cherry (Betty) of San Diego, California.
Funeral Services are 1 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at David Stand AME Zion Church by Reverend Albert Tucker with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Viewing will be 1- 5pm, Friday, March 17, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home.
