To My Richard,

It's hard to believe that a month has already passed. Some days it feels like yesterday, and other days it feels like I've lived a lifetime without you.

You were so much more than my boyfriend. Whether we were together or apart, you remained my family, my best friend, my safe place, and someone who became part of my everyday life. For more than five years, we built a story together—one filled with laughter, lessons, forgiveness, challenges, and a love that only we truly understood.

We weren't perfect, but we loved each other. We fought for each other, we grew together, and no matter where life took us, our hearts always found their way back.

Thank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself. Thank you for loving my boys, for making me laugh when I needed it most, and for standing beside me through seasons when I had nothing. Those are the parts of you I will carry with me forever.

Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I have ever done. Being there with you on your final day, kissing you goodbye, and walking beside you until your final resting place was a privilege I will never take for granted. It was my final act of love for you.

I pray you've found the peace that was so hard to find here. I hope you're finally free from every struggle that weighed on your heart.
