Expressing condolences to the family of Sonis Lewis Brown. We met at Black River Hospital as a young nurse. She had a kind and compassionate personality with a warm smile. As the years passed we separated but fate had it that we pursued the same goal within our professional role. " Family Nurse Practitioner ". She was quiet unassuming maintaining her professionalism at all times. She cared for her clients,in a dignified manner no matter the challenges. May she continue to SIEP.....

Sonia - I will always remember your kindness and compassion shown to my daughter Ann at BlackRiver ER. I spoke with you on 10/28/2025 for 54 minutes and I didn't know it would be my last . My condolences to your family, and friends. Sleep on and take your rest my Batchmate and roommate until we meet again.

Sonia, you were always a special friend, so loyal, kind and dear. I will always remember the happy times we shared, so much joy, laughter, love and the way you truly cared. You had so much lovely qualities that I feel so blessed that you were part of my life. I will certainly miss our calls and texts. May God grant comfort to your family and all who mourns, with peace, strength and memories, treasures, we'll keep within our hearts. So, bye my special friend. Sonia, you were that single light that shines the brightest. This light supersedes every other light, you have out shine them all. You show us love, patience, and kindness. You taught us to be gentle and caring. You showed up and directed our steps, you showed us a clear path and instructions to success. You were a remarkable coworker, a friend and confident. In the Mt. Moreland area this wonderful, awesome, caring lady was known as NURSE, at St. Matthews Anglican Church she was Sister Sonia who was always there with warm encouragements and smiles as she leads the mothers' union which provided community outreach and support for our vulnerable population. For my parent (Adrian and Inez), she was Sis and to us she was Aunty, who was always, always there for our parents and us. I am hoping that you will find peace and comfort just knowing her impact on the lives of all of us who were fortunate and privilege to know Sister Sonia and how much we loved and treasured her.
