Sonia June Lewis-Brown, 74, of Boynton Beach, Florida, and formerly of Jamaica, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026.
A Life of Service
Born on March 18, 1952, to the late Justin Kermit Lewis and Lorain Lewis, Sonia was raised in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. She later lived in St. Catherine, Jamaica, before relocating to Boynton Beach, Florida.
Sonia dedicated her professional life to healing others as a retired nurse practitioner. Her commitment to her community extended far beyond healthcare; she served honorably as a Justice of the Peace. A woman of deep faith, Sonia was an active, long-standing member of St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Mt. Moreland, Jamaica, where she faithfully served as a dedicated member of the Mother’s Union.
Family and Legacy
On January 27, 1982, Sonia married her beloved husband, Derrick Brown Sr., who survives her. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
