Obituary For Willie Mae Taylor

Obituary

God was walking in His garden, the one He made with His own hands. The sun was shining on each blossom, young and old throughout all lands. In our family, He walked still searching for a lovely, full-grown flower, pausing here, He found a beautiful flower ready to be taken at that hour. "

The last of nine children, Willie Mae 'Tut' Taylor was born to the late Seolar McClure and Will McClure on May 27, 1927. At an early age, she was baptized and raised in the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pike County, Alabama. On June 12, 1943, Willie Mae was united in holy matrimony to the late Jessie Kelly. To this blessed union, five children were born. They moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to join other family members. After sometime, they amicably parted ways. She married the late Willie James Taylor on May 29,1964. Willie Mae was an extraordinary woman who loved to cook, sew, and plant flowers. She was an expert in bringing sickly flowers back to beautiful and healthy ones. She was the same with the family. She was blessed to have seen her family grow from four daughters to eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grand children and twenty-three great-great grandchildren. An extremely proud mother and grandmother who was blessed to have attended many high school and college graduations, weddings, birthday parties and baby showers.

On Thursday, February 7, 2019, Willie Mae Taylor, was called to her eternal home, to a land that is free from sickness, sorrow, and pain "in a far better place" where she .will forever be with the Lord.
