Dr. Johnson and I served ASU Business students for many years and not only did her students love and appreciate her, the entire faculty and staff loved and respected her for her kind spirit, always caring and compassionate, willing to help students, as well as her colleagues. We worked together on many projects, and she was always willing to go the extra mile, meet with her colleagues to always make our programs student friendly. I could always count on her to contribute her ideas and work for the betterment of her students. I will miss her so very much.
My deepest sympathies to the family of Dr. Sherryl Johnson. Dr. Johnson and I were colleagues at Albany State University. She was an exceptional professor, whether in the classroom, conducting research, or assisting in activities to strengthen the university. Soft-spoken with a genuine and caring spirit, she was a welcome presence no matter the gathering. She was also a devoted mother to her twins--a loving devotion that she fulfilled completely, even after the untimely death of her husband. She will be missed.
