I LOVED THIS, LADY. She was so kind and forgiven.
I admired this lady so muchβ€οΈ I had heard rumors of how Miss Grace's husband had died ever since I lived in Baker County. When I moved back to Baker County in 1995, my husband and went to see Miss Grace. I wanted to hear it from the horses mouth. I couldn't believe that could happen to anyone and then guilty so free. After all that she was not bitter. She was kind and understanding. I remember one day she told a story about a friend ( a white man) made an off colored remark about the blacks. She thought it was funny. She said I understand why he said it. She was the most forgiven person I have ever known πΉJust look at that kind face and pleasant smile.

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Miller.
My deepest condolences on the transitioning of Grace. We shared such memorable times sewing, sharing experiences of life, eating out, talking on the telephone and sharing a love bond that grew stronger through the years as we met at East Baker School each Tuesday to sew for Southern Journeys. We spent some time sewing, but a good portion. of time talking and laughing and enjoying being in each other presences and talking about family community and life in general. Our last conversation on February 2, 2026 was about arranging to meet in Albany for lunch. I am thankful to God for allowing me to be in Ms Grace life starting in 2009 until now. Although we were no longer meeting at East Baker School we still kept in touch bound together by the love we shared. Family please know that Mother Grace was a wonderful gracious lovable woman. Please take comfort in Psalms 46:10 Priscilla C. Barrington- Richland. Stewart County,Georgia

Celebrating the Life and Highlighting the Legacy of Mrs. Grace Miller
My deepest sympathies go to the bereaved family: I know that your hearts are broken from the passing of your beloved mother (Mrs. Grace Miller). The Bible states in "John 11: 25-26 β "Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life, whoever believes in me thought he die, yet shall he live" Mrs. Grace Miller will be truly missed but her legacy of service to the residents of her community will stand the test of time. She epitomized the meaning of the words, "Love thy neighbor as thy self". As a young girl growing up and a small time during the height of the Civil Rights Movement; Mrs. Grace Miller's strength and determination provided courage for others in Baker County to get involved in the Civil Rights Movement. She always encouraged the young people to become gate keepers of their community. I remember her words to me, "we are getting old and you younger folks have to get involved". These words inspired me to take the challenge, and I did get involve in my community. Mrs. Grace Miller brought power to her presence and her compassion to some of the most vital humanitarian issues in Newton, Georgia and surrounding counties in South Georgia. Mrs. Grace Miller, your spirit and legacy will continue to serve as a compass to empower and nurture future leaders. Rest in Peace knowing that you will never be forgotten. Judy Brown, North Miami. FL

To The Family, Please Accept My Heartfelt Condolences. Truly the loss of a precious loved one is most difficult. Please find comfort in the promise our most loving Heavenly Father Jehovah God gives us in Revelation 21:4"And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more; neither will mourning; nor outcry; nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Yes, We can look forward to a time soon to come when all suffering including death will be done away with forever.
