Mother Nona Hill, 74, of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Christ Harvest Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 1219 Centennial Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701.
Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, 200 Cotton Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701.
Mrs. Nona Carroll Hill was born on June 23, 1950, to the late Mr. Robert and Charlie Clara Henderson.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System. She attended Lincoln Elementary, Southside Junior High, and Monroe High School. After graduation, she attended Darton College for two years.
Nona accepted Christ in 1985 and later joined Christ Harvest Tabernacle.
She was employed at Albany High School as a paraprofessional. She also worked at Turner Job Corps and later retired.
Nona departed this life on December 1, 2024, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Henderson and Jessie Henderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories and legacy her devoted husband, Mr. Calvin Hill; two children, Shunna (Cecil) Williams, Leesburg, GA, Deric Whitaker, Albany, GA; two sisters, Evangelist Robbie (Sebastian) Chattmon, Albany, GA, Lucille Holmes, Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Deric Whitaker, Jr., Nieya Whitaker, Devin Whitaker, Cecil Williams, Jr., Corey Williams; a special friend, Dorothy Jordan, Albany, GA; a loving sister-in-law, Mrs. Bobbie Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
