Our Deepest Sympathy Carlos, Auzree & Family
I have known you as Wild Deer for all my life. You will be missed. Say hello to the rest of the family.
Deepest sympathies to the family of a great man, Mr. Cross. I was Mr. Cross's barber for about 15 yrs and we became the best of friends, talking about everything from his school bus, farming, to his love of his church. I will always remember his last visit which was just the Saturday before he passed. He took a nap, such a peaceful nap, with his legs crossed and his arms folded in his lap. When he got in the chair, he talked on and on about that nap and how good it was...said he hadn't had one like that in years and that it would be a while before he would get one like that again. Then he went on to say, "Gimme the full meal deal" because he was getting ready for Homecoming at his church this month. He wanted to be spiffy ya know (in his words). Now my friend can nap on as he has gotten ready for his Homecoming! His presence, friendly voice, conversation and laughter will be truly missed at the barber shop. Travis Malone & Salon. When my son Coach Hamilton told me that Mr. Cross had moved to his Mansion. He sent up his timbers for every Spiritual deed that he did. He allowed me to ride the bus to school when I was hired and had no car. He brought my sons home when their games ended late. He loved farming and driving the school bus. He would blow at my house when he didn't see anyone I Smiled. Rest Easy my Friend..God has Spoken

When my Coach Hamilton called and told me that Mr. Cross had moved into his eternal Mansion my day was not the same. He had a pleasant Spirit. When I moved back to Georgia and was hired to the School System l did not have a car to get to work. Cross allowed me to ride the bus along with my children. When my sons were in Sports he would bring them home if the game was late. He would blow at my house in the morning and afternoon whether he saw anyone or not. He will be Truly Missed..Rest Easy My Friend
I remember my uncle's joyful spirit. When I moved down for college, I spent time with him. My fondest memories were road trips to Jimmys hot dogs with good conversations about his love for farming and driving the bus. He will be missed.
