Obituary For Mr. Eddie Lee Gillard

Mr. Eddie Lee Gillard, 69, of Albany, Georgia departed this Saturday, January 18, 2025 at his residence in Albany, Georgia.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church, 3980 Gillionville Rd, Albany, GA 31721.

Interment will follow in the Roselawn Garden of Memory Cemetery, 2122 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Albany, Georgia 31701.

Eddie Lee Gilliard was born in Albany Ga, March 25,1955 to the late John D. Gilliard and Willie Bell Gilliard Kalip. He was the third of twelve children.

Eddie was educated in the Dougherty County School System

At an early age, he professed his faith and belief in Christ Jesus. He was a member of Chrisitan Life Missionary Baptist Church in Albany Ga.

A very loving, kind, and caring individual who loved his family with no end. He was the light in the room. No one was a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who were in need. He will truly be missed by many. He enjoyed cooking , fishing and cracking jokes.

On Saturday January 18 th 2025, Eddie answered the Masters Call to eternal peace and rest. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Curtis Gilliard, Darrell Gilliard and James Gilliard. Sisters Janice Gilliard and Altometer Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories of a loving and devoted friend of many years, Shenita White. One son Jermaine (Tameka) Harris and one bonus son George (Yolanda) White. Three Bonus daughters, Temeca (Jamie) Miller, Kawanna (Deryk)Jones and Shanika White, twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Six Siblings: Inetha (Willie) Fletcher, Roseta Fletcher, Dolly Nix (Gregory), Eugene (Angela) Gilliard, Belinda (Warren) Wiliams and Carolyn (Melvin) Jones. Two aunts Hattie Roberts from South Bay Florida and Kate Fannie Robison from Belle Glade Florida. One Uncle Lester (Martha) Strauder a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
