For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hand, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1
On the glorious day of August 01, 1967 Edwin Fitzgerald Reaves was born in Rosen Haynes, New Jersey to Mrs. Rena Finney Walker and the Late Mr. Benjamin Reaves.
Edwin moved backed to Albany Ga, where he attended public school in the Dougherty County School System. He graduated with the Class of 1985 from Albany High School. While at AHS, he participated on the Wrestling Team and in Track and Field. He was a WWE fanatic. To quote his favorite wrestler “ To be the man you, you got to beat the man. Woooo!” After his completion at AHS, Edwin joined the U.S. Army, where he was Sergeant upon his Honorable Discharge. While serving his country Edwin formed many relationships and memories that he cherished deeply.
Edwin is a pillar of his community, always selflessly showing up for others through acts of kindness. Truly one of a kind.
Minister Reaves accepted Christ as his savior. He dedicated his life to many churches, assisting them in the development of their music ministry. Also teaching and inspiring the youth to become more involved in the church through the youth ministry. He was a drummer but not just that (He would say that he wasn’t that good, but he played just good enough to teach them to exceed him), a videographer, photographer also, working with many choirs throughout the years.
On April 20,2025 Resurrection Sunday, He transitioned to his final call from the Lord, to rest from his labor to reward.

My dear brother Edwin, a brother since elementary school. If you saw him, you saw me. A few weeks ago, while I was in Georgia, I had the blessing of speaking with him one more time. Friends like Edwin are a gift from God. As the old folks would say, "It's getting late in the evening love on one another while it's still day." I'm going to miss our talks, our laughs, and those calls... but God.
We express Our Heartfelt Condolences, Thoughts & Prayers to Our Family, during this difficult time. Edwin Fought A Good Fight, He Has Finished His Course, He Kept The Faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 He's Going A Place Where There Will Be No More Pain Nor Suffering. Good night, until we meet again. Your Reaves, Walker. Finney, Solomon. Riggins, Jones & Coleman Families 🕊 🕊 🕊
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
