Ezekiel Thomas Dumas, was born March 28, 1998, in Newburgh, New York, and gained his eternal wings on May 12, 2025, in Albany, Georgia.
Ezekiel graduated from the Southwest Georgia Institute of Education in December 2016, achieving a milestone that reflected both his quiet diligence and commitment.
To know Ezekiel was to know light. He had the most beautiful smile in the world, and a spirit so warm it left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Humble, down-to-earth, and always faithful, Ezekiel lived a life full of grace. He gave of himself freely — through laughter, prayer, encouragement, and love.
He loved his family unconditionally, poured into his friends without hesitation, but his greatest devotion was to Jesus Christ. His faith wasn't something he spoke of lightly — it was how he lived. Even in his hardest moments, he turned to God.
In July 2023, Ezekiel rang the remission bell — a moment that reflected the hope, strength, and belief he carried throughout his fight with cancer. Though the illness would later return, Ezekiel never gave up. He continued to inspire others, showing strength that was purely unmatched, and compassion that ran deep. His faith never faltered.
He now reunites with his brother, George Dumas Jr., and grandfather, Rudolph Dumas, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Sandra Bolton; his father, George Dumas; and his stepmother, Denitress Dumas. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Janie Lowman and Shirley Dumas, and his siblings: Jonathan, Kia, Elijah, Danielle, Joshua, Joseph, Tasha, LaRhonda, Sandra, Isaiah, and Elizabeth.
Ezekiel’s legacy lives on through a host of nieces, nephews, one great-niece, and many loving Godmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, bonus brothers, and lifelong friends who were forever touched by his presence.
Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
