My condolences to Larry's family. Enjoyed your company on Bragg.
Larry Johnson, (as he would say every time, he answered the phone) "My Friend". I met Larry around 1977, he and Charles (aka Big Charles Stone) had motorcycles so he convinced me that I needed to get one even though I didn't know how to ride. Of course, he chose and test drove the biggest one I could afford. For the next few years, the three of us were at the House Of Jazz a few nights a week beating everyone at Pinball but come Sunday a couple tanks of gas, and the highway belonged to us. My Friend Larry believed that if there was a new adventure/experience he had to have it. He would call me and say things like "Hea lets go to Costa Rica (or some country in Europe or somewhere) I found some cheap flights. I'd have to say Larry I'm married you're not. Some time we would spend a couple hours on the phone remembering, solving the world's problems, giving each other advise or daydreaming. We both love Port Saint Joe Florida and often time would meet up there or share our trip on the phone. My Friend Larry not only loved life but he believed in living the things he loved. If there be any adventures and experiences after this life, by the time we get there, Larry will have tried them all. Larry's longtime Friend: Robert (The Mighty Banshee) Perry
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants" Psalm 116:15 Larry will forever be remembered for his giving, caring, and sharing. He lived an amazing life. I am grateful to have known him and his family. He propelled me to expand my horizons and settle for nothing less! "I bib him Godspeed."
Ride on brother. Ride on. I'll miss your random calls but I know you are enjoying the long sweeping curves on what is smoother than new asphalt up there.
