Ophelia Lee Price, 69, a devoted wife, mother, and pillar of her faith community, peacefully passed away on April 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on July 25, 1955, in Seaford, Delaware.
Ophelia’s unwavering faith guided her throughout her life. She dedicated herself to serving God and creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 48 years, Walter, and their two children. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and godmother, Ophelia exemplified strong values and deep religious beliefs in all that she did. She led by example, volunteered at her church, and embodied love to everyone she encountered.
One of Ophelia’s greatest joys came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. Her pound cakes and homemade cookies were legendary and eagerly anticipated by family and friends alike.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Price; their children, Bryan and Krysta; daughter-in-law YaKima; grandchildren Tichina (greatgranddaughter Emersyn), Ashton, Ethan, and Logan; her mother, Anna Jones; her brother, Gregory Cannon (his family); and a vast network of friends who became like family.
Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Price family, you have my deepest condolences. Ophelia was a beautiful soul, softly sharing her beauty and love of God through a conversation. I recalled the time I brought her from BWI airport to her mom's home in Delaware and we chatted the entire way. The 2 hour ride was over in no time. She brought joy to our family early on as being Desmond's godmother and I am grateful for her life and the love she gave. May God bless each of you and hold onto precious memories!
My deepest condolences to the family! Mrs. Price was one of the nicest and sweetest persons I've ever been blessed to know. She showed so much concern for my daughter whom she didn't get a chance to meet yet, kept her in her prayers. She was the Best Avon rep I have ever had, hands down. Truly missed.
To the Price Family, Dea. Price, Crystal and Bryan from the Hall family we are sending our condolences and sympathy on the loss of the most kindness and gentle lady I have had the pleasure of meeting. May your memory of Sister Price through God's grace bring you comfort as you maneuver through this trying and challenging time.
Mrs Price, there is so much to say thank you for! I am torn between grief and joy. Grief because I will miss you so much, and joy because I know you must be so happy to be with Jesus in the kingdom of heaven. Words cannot express how thankful I am to you for taking care of my mom at church! I love you and will miss your presence, and warm smile at the church door on Sunday's! I am so thankful for you, I don't know what to say! What a day it will be when we all see each other again! My condolences to Mr. Price and the family! ❤️🙏🏽🫵 Linda Hunt
